  • I teach students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners around age four through advanced students and even adult learners. Lessons can be tailored for enrichment, competitions, or conservatory track goals, depending on each student’s interests and aspirations.

  • I teach both Suzuki and traditional violin methods, as well as viola. Lessons are customized to the student’s learning style and goals, and may include private instruction, group classes, or a combination of both.

  • I teach in the evenings during the week from 5:30pm to 8:30pm as needed. I have a full-time day job as a fundraising consultant and cannot teach during the day. I have also reserved my weekends for performance gigs and personal balance.

  • Yes. I offer trial lessons for new students so families can see if the studio, teaching style, and schedule are a good fit.

  • For 2026, my teaching rates are $60 for half hour lessons, $75 for 45 minute lessons, and $90 for hour lessons.

  • Yes. Students have opportunities to perform in studio recitals, community events, and group classes, which help build confidence and stage presence.

  • Practice expectations vary by age and experience, but all students benefit from consistent daily practice and listening to assigned recordings. I encourage families to treat violin study as a meaningful commitment, similar to other extracurricular activities.

    Young beginner students may practice 10 minutes a session whereas advanced students could practice up to an hour or more each day.

  • Yes. At the start of lessons, I discuss each student’s goals and design a pathway to match, whether that is preparing for youth orchestras, competitions, college auditions, or simply personal enrichment.
